Job Description
BESTAFF is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Order Management Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely data entry, supporting account managers, and managing order processing functions. The ideal candidate is efficient, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment both independently and collaboratively.
$20.00-$21.00 hourly - 6:30a-2:30P M-F - Temp to Hire - Great Benefits
Job Title: Order Management Specialist
Reports to: Business Manager
Education: High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in data entry and/or customer service
Experience:
• At least 2 years of experience in data entry and/or customer service
• Experience in order processing preferred
• Background in inventory and shipping a plus
• Must have a strong attention to detail and a proven record of accurate data entry
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office
• Experience with ERP systems (Intuitive ERP preferred)
• Familiarity with Master Shipper, major carrier shipping systems, and barcode systems is helpful
Core Competencies:
• Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working both independently and within a team
• Ability to follow established procedures and contribute to process improvements

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform accurate and timely data entry (item cards, sales orders, work orders, purchase orders, and Master Shipper entries)
• Support Account Managers with month-end tasks and other administrative needs
• Monitor and verify order accuracy, product availability, and pricing
• Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding order inquiries and updates
• Maintain high levels of customer service and professionalism
• Manage and track inventory levels; coordinate with procurement as needed
• Keep accurate records of orders, invoices, and relevant documentation
• Ensure data accuracy in CRM (Sage) and ERP systems
• Assist in resolving customer issues in coordination with relevant ALOM departments
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting process enhancements
• Follow-up on production work orders, receipts, returns, and NCRs
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Environmental and Safety Responsibilities:
• Perform tasks with consideration for environmental impact and waste minimization
• Adhere to the company’s Environmental Management System (EMS) and related policies
• Report any accidents or environmental nonconformities to supervisors and assist with CAPA system documentation
• Provide feedback or suggestions for improving EMS processes

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to move throughout the facility, including stairs and tight areas
• Able to lift, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods (7–8 hours)
• Visual ability to verify product and paperwork accuracy
• Comfortable working with numerical and statistical data
