Machine Operator - second and third shift
Job Description
BESTAFF is looking for a Production Machine Operator that is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient production of high-quality food products. This role plays a key part in meeting production goals while maintaining safety, quality, and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.Pay rate $21.40 hourlySecond and third shifts are available2:30P-11pm10:30P-7:00AMKey Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Set up equipment, adjust settings, and perform changeovers as needed
- Ensure consistent product quality by conducting routine checks and inspections
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate as needed
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Follow all food safety (GMP), sanitation, and safety guidelines
- Keep work area clean and organized in compliance with company standards
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets
- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks as required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred
- Experience operating machinery or production equipment is a plus
- Ability to read and follow instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8–12 hours)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Food manufacturing facility with exposure to varying temperatures
- Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- May involve noise from machinery
