Job Description
BESTAFF is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk in our Indianapolis facility to support return programs, inventory accuracy, and warehouse operations. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient processing of returns, QA hold inventory, and general warehouse support. Forklift certification is not required for this position.Education & Experience
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Experience: 1–2 years in a warehouse environment with detailed knowledge of return programs and operations.
- Computer/Software Skills: Windows, Microsoft Office, MRP systems, and WMS applications.
- Manage, process, and perform all return transactions, including receiving returns to stock and put-away.
- Manage and control return and QA hold inventory accuracy through weekly physical counts.
- Support the Warehouse & Distribution Manager and Inventory Analyst with inventory management and accuracy.
- Provide support across warehouse and fulfillment functions including Receiving, Incoming Inspection, Inventory Management, Returns, Kit Audit, Parcel and Freight shipments, and Order Processing.
- Responsible for RMA inventory and managing return programs effectively.
- Process all returns physically and systematically using the ALOM Return Management System.
- Monitor and manage RMA inventory and daily return dispositions in line with client requirements.
- Ensure on-time receiving, accurate physical handling, and proper disposition of returns.
- Manage QA Hold inventory and transactions.
- Generate and maintain cycle count and RMA reports.
- Maintain and update return databases and records.
- Perform daily data entry for cycle counts and returns.
- Support operations projects and special assignments, including ESA Fulfillment projects.
- Partner with Account Management and other teams to align return processes with client needs.
- Assist with month-end close reporting for billing accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with company quality objectives, warehouse management standards, and department goals.
- Ensure overall inventory accuracy and support physical counts.
- Support incoming inspections with receiving personnel.
- Contribute to warehouse cleanliness, waste minimization, and environmental compliance.
- Participate in Environmental Management System (EMS) initiatives by reporting nonconformities, suggesting improvements, and adhering to environmental policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Ability to move freely within the facility and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Strong visual acuity.
- Ability to work extensively with phones and computers.
