Receiving Clerk - Mid Shift
Job Description
BESTAFF is look for a Receiving Clerk with Reach Truck Operator responsibilities and will be responsible for the accurate receipt, verification, and storage of inbound materials. This role combines administrative receiving duties with safe and efficient operation of reach trucks to move, organize, and maintain warehouse inventory. - Receiving & Documentation
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Record receipt of goods in warehouse management system (WMS).
- Inspect products for damage, quantity discrepancies, and compliance with quality standards.
- Process receiving paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reach Truck Operation
- Safely operate reach truck to load, unload, and store materials.
- Move pallets and inventory to designated warehouse locations.
- Ensure safe stacking and organization of goods in racking systems.
- Follow OSHA and company safety standards for powered industrial trucks.
- Inventory Control & Coordination
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Report discrepancies and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Communicate effectively with purchasing, production, and warehouse teams.
- General Warehouse Support
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of receiving docks and storage areas.
- Support cross-training efforts in shipping and general warehouse functions as needed.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year experience in warehouse receiving or logistics preferred.
- Valid Reach Truck Operator certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Familiarity with WMS or ERP systems a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
