Quality Inspector 1st Shift

Job Description

BESTAFF is looking for a Quality Manager that supports production operations by overseeing and improving all aspects of quality assurance, compliance, and process control within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
M-F 6:40AM - 2:10PM$18.00 hourly 
? Key Requirements
  • Experience: 3–5 years minimum in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge: ISO 9000 processes, document control, corrective actions, and basic quality concepts.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Statistical sampling and DPM calculation.
    • Microsoft Windows and Office Suite proficiency.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to interpret assembly, inspection, and specification instructions.
    • Skilled in managing non-conforming materials and implementing corrective actions.
⚙️ Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform and monitor in-process, receiving, and final inspections.
  • Audit production processes (including first article, weight scales, pallet tags, etc.).
  • Lead internal audits and manage ISO document changes via change notices.
  • Provide guidance to junior quality inspectors and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Assist departments in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Collect and analyze data for quality metrics and continuous improvement.
  • Promote company-wide quality awareness and minimize waste, rework, and downtime.
  • Support the Environmental Management System (EMS) by identifying and reporting nonconformities and suggesting improvements.
? Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to move freely throughout the facility (stairs, ladders, tight areas).
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs.
  • Capable of visual verification of products and paperwork.
  • Basic mathematical/statistical competence required.
  • Expected to support environmental sustainability initiatives.
