Receiving Clerk - 1st Shift
Job Description
BESTAFF is hiring a Receiving Clerk that has Reach Truck experiencePay Rate: $18.00 hourly 7:00AM-3:30PM – M-FReach Truck / Receiving Clerk (Warehouse Receiving)Job SummaryThe Reach Truck / Receiving Clerk is responsible for safely unloading, receiving, verifying, and putting away inbound shipments using a stand-up reach truck and other material handling equipment. This role ensures accurate inventory records, proper documentation, and efficient movement of product into warehouse storage locations while maintaining quality and safety standards.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesReceiving & Documentation
- Receive inbound freight and verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or incorrect items and report discrepancies
- Accurately enter receiving data into WMS/ERP systems (quantities, SKU, lot/serial, location)
- Label product properly and maintain receiving logs/records
- Operate a stand-up reach truck to move pallets and product to assigned storage locations
- Perform put-away, staging, and replenishment per warehouse slotting rules
- Load/unload pallets using forklift/reach truck, pallet jacks, or hand trucks
- Maintain safe driving practices and follow warehouse traffic rules
- Ensure proper product location and storage accuracy (FIFO/FEFO where applicable)
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed
- Keep receiving area, dock, and aisles clean and organized
- Work closely with shipping, inventory control, and supervisors to support warehouse flow
- Follow OSHA and site safety rules, including PPE requirements
- Conduct daily equipment inspections on the reach truck (battery, forks, brakes, horn)
- Immediately report hazards, near misses, and damaged product/equipment
