BESTAFF is hiring for a 2nd shift Slitter Operator! STarting pay is $18.25/hr
A slitter operator sets up, operates, and maintains machines that cut large rolls of material like plastic, paper, or metal into smaller rolls or sheets. Key responsibilities include loading materials, ensuring precise cuts according to production orders, performing quality checks, and conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting. A strong commitment to safety, physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills are essential for the role.

- Material handling: Load large rolls of material, align them correctly, and handle finished products.
- Quality control: Monitor the slitting process to ensure cuts are accurate and the final product meets quality standards. This includes identifying and correcting issues like ragged edges.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and minor repairs on the slitting equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve problems that arise during the slitting process.
- Safety: Follow all safety protocols to ensure the safety of themselves and others, as the job involves working with heavy machinery.
- Documentation: Accurately record production data, including waste, materials used, and time codes. #ZR
