Machine Operator - 1st and 2nd Shift
Job Description
BESTAFF is looking for a Trimmer for a veneer manufacturer company in the Jeffersonville, IN area. 7:00AM-3:30PM – M-FPay Rate: $17.00 hourlyThe Trimmer is required to understand the operation, general maintenance, and safety features of the Trimmer.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Must be able to read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.Inspect the veneer for specification conformance.Observes machine operation to detect material defects or machine malfunction.Must be able to meet and maintain acceptable production levels.Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.Completes the necessary production forms.Understands lockout-tagout safety procedure.Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above. The employee must be able to stand for long periods of time. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 40 hours per week. Overtime hours will be offered based on company’s need. Required Education and ExperienceNone Preferred Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED.1 year of factory-related experience.
