Quality Inspector (IQC)Indianapolis, IN | Temp-to-Hire | $18.00/hrShift: 1st Shift | 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM About the RoleBESTAFF is hiring a Quality Inspector (IQC) for a growing manufacturing facility in Indianapolis, IN. This is a great temp-to-hire opportunity in a clean, climate-controlled warehouse — you'll play a key role keeping product quality on track while building toward a permanent spot with a company that's investing in its people.What You'll Do
- Perform visual inspection of components, sub-assemblies, and finished products
- Conduct in-process, receiving, and final inspections
- Work primarily in the incoming quality control (IQC) area, inspecting all incoming components
- Train, evaluate, and monitor junior quality inspectors
- Support the document control system and ISO 9001 & 13485 processes, including updates to internal procedures
- Partner with department leads on corrective and preventive action responses
- Manage and monitor Material Discrepancy Reports (MDRs) and QA holds to ensure timely, accurate processing
- Perform inspections and audits of materials, parts, products, assemblies, and processes for conformance to procedures
- Support production leads in hitting daily quality and output goals
- Monitor weight scale usage by certified operators
- Help identify problems and provide solutions alongside process owners
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in a high-speed, hands-on manufacturing environment, with a strong quality inspection background
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 & 13485; internal ISO auditing experience is a plus
- Comfortable working with Windows, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems
- Ability to stand for a full shift and move throughout the facility, including stairs and tight spaces
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail, including comfort with numbers and measurements
