Job Description

Warehouse Associate This company is a fully integrated chemical distributor, recognized as an optimal source for chemicals, related raw materials, formulated products, and outsourcing services.   This company is seeking a Warehouse Associate to work in the Indianapolis facility. The selected candidate will report to the Warehouse Supervisor. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following essential duties:   
  • Loading/unloading inbound and outbound trucks  
  • Moving material to proper storage locations  
  • Receiving products, preparing and filling orders  
  • Checking orders against packaging slips  
  • Checks receipts against purchase orders for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects  
  • Labeling products for shipment   
  • Selecting lots and quantities; selecting appropriate shipping containers and packaging materials  
  • Completing all required paperwork  
  • Restocking pick areas and repacking skids as needed   
 Candidate will operate Raymond Swing Reach forklifts, slip sheet loaders, pallet inverters and drum snatchers. Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently, and 100 lbs. with assistance. Candidate will be required to work in Shipping/Receiving and perform general maintenance.   Education/Experience – High school diploma or equivalent required.  Forklift experience required; including both sit-down counterbalance and Raymond Swing Reach. One (1) plus year(s) of experience operating standard manual and automatic packaging equipment, and warehouse operation functions such as cycle counting and RF Scanner use. Proficiency in basic computer skills required.  One (1) plus year(s) of receiving and shipping experience in a chemical environment preferred.
